My visit to Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital

Yesterday I visited the hospotal along with my collegue from office Dr Santra to visit Dr. P K Mukhopadhyay who is in ICU for the last 2 weeks. The hospital is in Rohini and it took almost 3 hours to reach the hospital from my office. I drove my car, parked the car at CP and then took the metro rohini line and got down at the last station at Rithala. SO now you know where the hospital is located.
The first thing striked me that nobody stopped us in getting into the ICU block, though we decided ourselves not to enter because we may bring infection. Mrs Mukherjee was very upset with the unhealthy conditions of the ICU, lot of noise, people shouting, poor airconditioning, etc. etc. She said I am not complaining but we can always bring to the notice of the authorities for taking action.
Dr Mukhopadhyay's condition is still critical, he can not speak due the tubes inserted inside his mouth. He is definitely uncomfortable. Yesterday his daughters(who lives in US and Australia respectively) tried to understand whay he is trying to say but could not understand.
I pray that Dr Mukhopadhyay recovers fully and comes back home. Man like him should live for long years.

Dr. Mukhopadhyay was shifted from Rajiv Gandhi hospital to Gangaram on the first week of MArch and he died on 15th March 2008. His wife sister and younger brother was there during his death,
